No matter how many times I try to have a website, I always get bored with it, or I waste too much time trying to make it good. So, the site’s back, and I’m not gonna try this time. I make no guarantees on regularity or quality of posts. It’ll just be something to do as a distraction whenever I’m bored, for no one in particular.

There’s no use explicitly putting any personal info here. Security through obscurity, as they say. You either already know me and know where to look for my personal stuff, or can find it with enough motivation, since there’s no such thing as privacy on the Internet. This site is a good place to start. I occasionally drop details and post pictures, which should be more than enough. Likewise, if you want to contact me, you should already know how. If you don’t, leave a comment on the site. That’s what they’re there for.

I think I’m getting used to the typical losses of privacy that come with having a public website. For instance, I recently added Twitter and Last.fm feeds to the front page, opening up my life a little bit more. Having a website isn’t much different than being a real life public figure. It keeps me consistent, since the words I put on my site are the words I have to show to everyone, friend or stranger. It also makes me accountable for what I write. It’s an exercise in discipline, balancing the line between censoring what I shouldn’t say and owning up to what I do.
